2002 Plans

#75

WOW TOUR PLANS
The opportunity to drive for Tom Vankeirsbilk was just what Jesse Hockett needed in this phase of his career, with his parents putting all the resources they could into the #77 Jesse had reached a point in his career to go out on his own and try to make it. Jesse will be more funded for a better assault on the WOW tour without having such a financial burden on his family.

Jesse will run a simular schedule to the one he did in 2001 but he will be teamed up with Tom Vankersbilk in the # 75 car. Tom has ordered a new Maxim chassis to replace the Stealth. He also bought another 360 wesmar engine to go along with the one they ran in 2001. This team will concentrate mostly on the WOW tour but will make trips to Knoxville as well as some ASCS .Jesse hopes to run a 410 a few times  at some local Outlaw shows to further his career.

Jesse's #77

XX-Speedway Plans
When Jesse asked a longtime friend and fellow racer if he could borrow a spare engine to run in the final six MSCS races last year he also decided to run at XX in California, MO with a slight dis-advantage. When Jesse came out in his first night at XX he had a 2-barrel carberator instead of the ordinary injecter system and with 100 less horsepower he won his first race of the season, so HMS is going to try and win some more races at XX and maybe even a championship in 2002.

Jesse and father Jack along with Daniel McMillin are building a little different car than in the past. The Maxim chassis will feature some new ideas from the Outlaw cars as well as an experimental engine designed by Ernie Walker and Uncle Tim Rowden at RMS which should give Jesse an advantage from last year at XX on Sunday evenings when not driving for Tom.
